Underboard is a tactical roguelike auto battler built around drafting characters and creating powerful team synergies. Players explore randomized maps filled with monsters while assembling a party from different character types. Individual fighters can be leveled, equipped with loot, and combined through shared Traits that become increasingly important as the run develops.
Although party members fight automatically, the player is far from passive. Positioning, aggression settings, spells, items, Masteries, and team composition all provide ways to influence encounters. Multiple Zones introduce increasingly dangerous opponents and bosses as the party attempts to escape the strange world known as the Underboard.
How the Gameplay Works
Players draft characters and arrange them before combat according to their roles and behavior. Once fighting begins, party members attack automatically based on positioning and aggression, making preparation a major part of every encounter. Characters with compatible Traits can activate stronger bonuses when placed together in the same team.
Players can still intervene by casting spells and using Masteries to support the party during battle. New equipment, character levels, and additional recruits become available while exploring procedurally generated maps. Progress through each Zone eventually leads to challenging bosses that test how effectively the current team has been constructed.
