18 Wheels of Steel: Convoy combines commercial truck driving with the goal of building an increasingly successful transportation company. Players begin with limited resources and gradually expand their operation by completing freight deliveries, purchasing equipment, and developing a fleet capable of handling more jobs.
The road network covers cities across the United States and parts of Canada, providing long journeys between industrial areas, highways, towns, and delivery locations. As the company’s reputation grows, the player can encounter other trucks connected with the business and build increasingly large convoys on the road.
How the Gameplay Works
Players choose cargo contracts, attach trailers, and drive the shipment to its required destination. Payment depends on successfully delivering cargo, while fuel, equipment, and company expenses must be considered when deciding which jobs are worthwhile.
Money can be invested into additional trucks and drivers, allowing the company to expand beyond the player’s own vehicle. Different cargo types require different trailers, while the larger road network encourages long-distance planning and careful route selection.
