Attack on Titan is an action game based on the popular manga and anime series, placing players in the middle of humanity’s desperate struggle against enormous Titans. The story follows Eren Yeager, Mikasa Ackerman, Armin Arlert, and other members of the Scout Regiment as they defend cities, venture beyond the walls, and uncover more about the creatures threatening humanity. Many important events from the early parts of the original story are recreated through missions, cutscenes, and battles featuring familiar characters.

Rather than using traditional ground-based combat, the game focuses heavily on speed and aerial movement with Omni-Directional Mobility Gear. Players can launch themselves between buildings, trees, and Titans while searching for openings to attack vulnerable body parts. Different playable characters have their own strengths, equipment, and abilities, while missions combine Titan hunting with objectives such as protecting allies, rescuing soldiers, and securing important areas.

How the Gameplay Works
Players move around large battlefields using Omni-Directional Mobility Gear, firing anchors into nearby structures or Titans before using gas-powered movement to swing through the environment. Titans must usually be approached carefully, with players targeting specific limbs or the vulnerable area at the back of the neck. Building enough speed and attacking from a good angle increases damage, while cutting off Titan arms or legs can make particularly dangerous enemies easier to defeat.

During missions, players can receive new objectives, rescue teammates, gather supplies, and work alongside other soldiers while Titans continue moving throughout the battlefield. Blades gradually lose durability and gas supplies can run low, so equipment must be replaced or replenished during longer fights. Characters and gear can also be improved as players progress, providing stronger blades, better mobility equipment, and additional options for tackling more difficult Titans and missions.
