About This Game:
World War Z is a cooperative third-person shooter inspired by the massive zombie outbreaks of the World War Z universe. Teams of survivors travel through locations around the world while attempting to complete missions in cities overwhelmed by huge numbers of fast-moving infected.
Its defining spectacle is the swarm system, which allows zombies to flood streets, pile on top of one another, climb structures, and attack defensive positions in extremely large groups. Different character classes, weapons, and upgrades give teams several ways to prepare for these attacks.
How the Gameplay Works
Up to four players move through story missions while completing objectives, collecting weapons, and fighting ordinary and special infected. Certain locations become defensive stand-offs where teams can place equipment such as automated turrets, barbed wire, electrical grids, or heavy weapons before the swarm arrives.
Classes provide specialized abilities related to firearms, explosives, healing, crowd control, or support. Weapons can be improved through continued use and progression. Higher difficulties increase enemy pressure and reduce room for mistakes, encouraging teams to coordinate supplies and class abilities.
