About This Game:
Hell Pie is a crude 3D platformer about Nate, the Demon of Bad Taste, who receives the unpleasant assignment of collecting ingredients for Satan’s birthday pie. Accompanied by a small angel named Nugget, Nate travels through bizarre locations filled with disgusting creatures, strange characters, hidden collectibles, and deliberately offensive humor.
Nugget is more than a companion because Nate keeps him attached to a chain. The angel can be swung around as a weapon or used as a grappling tool, giving the platforming a momentum-based movement system that becomes increasingly flexible as new abilities are unlocked.
How the Gameplay Works
Players run and jump through open 3D stages while using Nugget to swing across gaps, attack enemies, and reach distant platforms. Different horns unlock additional movement abilities that expand the routes Nate can take through each environment.
Levels contain required ingredients as well as optional collectibles, hidden challenges, and upgrades. Exploration becomes increasingly open as movement improves, while bosses and combat encounters make use of Nate’s attacks and Nugget’s chained abilities.
