About This Game:
HyperParasite is a twin-stick roguelike set in an exaggerated version of the 1980s. Players control an alien parasite attempting to reach the President while the entire city tries to stop it, but the parasite itself is extremely vulnerable when outside a host body.

Its defining mechanic allows the parasite to possess many of the human enemies encountered during a run. Each host type effectively becomes a temporary playable character with its own weapon, movement, attack pattern, and special ability.

How the Gameplay Works
Players enter combat arenas, damage enemies, and jump between host bodies as previous hosts are destroyed. Learning which body works best against a particular enemy group is important because the parasite can quickly die when exposed.

New host classes can be permanently unlocked by collecting the required information and resources across repeated runs. Procedurally arranged areas, shops, upgrades, minibosses, and major bosses change the exact route to the end of each attempt.
