About This Game:
Minute of Islands is a narrative puzzle platformer set across a polluted archipelago once maintained by ancient underground giants. Players control Mo, a young mechanic responsible for keeping massive machines running after mysterious spores begin threatening the islands and their inhabitants.
The game contrasts its colorful hand-drawn artwork with a story dealing with responsibility, isolation, environmental decline, and the consequences of depending on failing technology. Each island reveals more about Mo’s family and the world she is trying to preserve.
How the Gameplay Works
Mo travels between islands, explores abandoned structures, climbs through environmental obstacles, and enters underground machinery complexes. Her Omni Switch can interact with ancient technology, activate mechanisms, and help restore systems needed to clear dangerous contamination.
Most challenges focus on exploration and environmental puzzles rather than combat. Players follow visual and narrative clues, discover optional details, and gradually reactivate machines while moving deeper into the archipelago’s history.
