About This Game:
METALLIC CHILD is a roguelite action game starring Rona, an android trying to stop a rebellion aboard a space laboratory. Each run sends her through combat zones filled with hostile robots, upgrade opportunities, powerful weapons, and large mechanical bosses.
The game combines fast melee combat with a distinctive grabbing system that allows enemies to be lifted and thrown. Temporary upgrades collected during runs can dramatically change Rona’s abilities, encouraging different builds from one attempt to the next.
How the Gameplay Works
Players attack enemies with different weapons, dodge incoming attacks, grab vulnerable opponents, and throw them into walls or other enemies for additional damage. Weapons have different move sets, making switching between them useful against different enemy types.
Defeated enemies and rooms provide upgrades called Cores that can improve Rona for the current run. Boss victories advance the story and provide additional progression while repeated attempts help players learn enemy patterns and improve their builds.
