About This Game:
Stray is a third-person adventure where players control a cat separated from its companions and trapped inside a sealed cybercity inhabited almost entirely by robots. The journey follows the cat through narrow streets, apartment buildings, factories, sewers, rooftops, and forgotten underground districts while searching for a route back to the outside world.

A small drone named B-12 eventually accompanies the cat and provides translation, technological assistance, and clues about the city’s past. The story gradually explores why humans disappeared and how the remaining robotic inhabitants developed their own personalities, communities, and hopes of reaching the surface.

How the Gameplay Works
Players navigate environments using feline agility, automatically jumping between marked ledges, pipes, rooftops, and furniture. Small openings allow the cat to reach places inaccessible to robots, while scratching surfaces, knocking objects over, sleeping, and interacting with residents provide additional environmental details.

Puzzles frequently involve finding objects, operating machinery with B-12, or discovering alternate paths. Hostile Zurks and security systems introduce chase and stealth sequences where avoiding detection is more important than fighting. Optional memories found throughout the city provide additional information about B-12 and the world before its collapse.
