About This Game:
Sid Meier’s Civilization V: Complete Edition is a turn-based 4X strategy game about founding cities, exploring the world, researching technology, conducting diplomacy, and competing with rival civilizations across thousands of years. The Complete Edition gathers the base game with its major expansions and additional civilization and scenario content.
Gods & Kings and Brave New World significantly expand the original systems with religion, espionage, trade routes, archaeology, tourism, ideological competition, and a revised cultural victory. The result is a broader campaign where military conquest is only one of several strong paths to global influence.
How the Gameplay Works
Each turn, players direct units across a hex-based map, choose city production, research technologies, manage gold and happiness, negotiate with leaders, and develop social policies. Only one military unit can occupy a tile, making terrain, formations, ranged attacks, and positioning important during war.
Cities expand their borders and work nearby tiles for food, production, gold, science, and other yields. Victory can be achieved through domination, science, diplomacy, or culture, while religion, city-states, wonders, Great People, and international trade add additional layers of planning.
